The wars are over. Nia had lost the will to keep fighting. After the first war, the illusion that she was doing anything that was beneficial for the future of society began to clear away and reveal the grim truth. The path that was set in front of her felt too bleak for her to tread upon. And another sudden revelation made it all the more daunting: she was pregnant.It hadn’t been an easy choice for her to make, and it’s one she continues to battle with as she tries to move on with her life, but she wasn’t alone. Tomoyasu was eventually captured and convinced to rehabilitate and work for the other side. It was better than the alternative that they both spend the rest of their lives in prison.Integrating back into society after all the damage she’s done hasn’t been as smooth as she would have hoped, but it’s the least she can suffer through if it means giving Tsukiko, her newborn daughter, a somewhat normal life. The tragedy that befalls her, derail her morality, never comes to pass. Rather than the unfortunate series of events that unfold through her University years, it’s a term paper she writes about a little red book that gains her an internship at Shoowaysha Publishing. Balancing this work and continuing her studies is difficult, especially considering the side-affects of her Meta Ability, but it shows her resilience and willingness to give her all for something that she wants.After her graduation, she moves closer to the agency and takes up a position as an Archivist. Nia also learns, through this time period, about the rising army. She falls immediately into it. They were ideals she was already familiar and open to. Things she believes her father would have agreed with if he were still alive.Through them, she gains a better control of her meta ability, it’s range wider and effects more detrimental to those effected by it, but she still has a lot to learn as a member of the lower ranks.
